Welcome to Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. If you are new to our community of faith, please click here for some information especially for you. For our latest schedule of new member classes, click here.
It
is our prayer that all visitors to this site, whether members or people
looking for a new church home, will find here a reflection of our
church's commitment to the hospitality necessary for calling,
equipping, and sending forth disciples of Jesus Christ. Whether you are
seeking timely information about our full and active church life, our
history, or encouragement for faithful living, we pray you find it
here.
Again, welcome and may the Lord bless and keep you.
Our
offices are closed Monday, September 6, for the Labor Day holiday.
We resume our normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on
September 7. We
join our prayers and resources with Presbyterians and Christians around
the world who seek to support the millions affected by floods in
Pakistan. To help support the effort with your money, you can
give on-line through the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Disaster Assistance website or write a check to Grosse Pointe Memorial Church and put "Pakistan" in the subject line. Our
summer schedule is coming into its final week: outdoor worship (45 minutes) from 8:30-9:15 a.m.
and indoor
worship at 10:00 a.m. (with our choir).
Bike, scooter or walk to church as we fnish our summer
focus on sustainability: theologically, environmentally, and
personally. Click here to learn more about our sustainably-based worship. Beginning
September 19th, we return to our schedule of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
worship services, with education for all ages at 10:10 a.m. As part of our process to become a licensed parent's day out provider, we are seeking a part-time director. Click here for a job description and contact information. The dates have been set for our next mission trip to Honduras: January 26 - February 3, 2011 and February 12-19, 2011. Go to our outreach page for a registration form and more information from a recent presentation about the Honduras trips.
Our
planned giving task force has been hard at work on your behalf, raising
awareness of the importance of planned giving in the life of GPMC.
