Detroit Bachtet Debut Concert

Music at Memorial presents their 2026 - 2027 concert series with the Detroit Bachtet Debut Concert on Saturday, September 19 at 7 pm. The Detroit Bachtet (UO) is Southeast Michigan’s premier ensemble focused on performing music from the Baroque and before, and Contemporary/Modern eras, spanning from about 1250-1750 and from 1990-present day. 

Directed by Peyton Fleming, the ensemble is dedicated to highlighting vocal artists in the SE Michigan area, music and/or composers that have been previously underappreciated, underrecognized un-recognized, and the continuously oppressed, including women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, diasporic origin, and many more. 

Admission is free, and all are invited.
