Youth Group
Curious which small group you’ll be a part of? We run:
- Middle School (5 - 8th grade)
- High School (9 - 12th grade)
We have a team of dedicated youth group volunteers and students who would love to meet you!
We are blessed with vibrant and engaging youth programming here at Memorial. We invite all 5th - 12th grade students to be a part of our welcoming, caring, and inclusive youth ministry. We have weekly youth group meetings, quarterly outings, confirmation classes, and annual mission trips for our students.

Matthew 25:35-40 says, "For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me, I was naked, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you visited me, I was in prison, and you came to me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Our annual high school mission trip is a life-changing chance to put faith into action through service in our community, country, and around the world. Over the past 30 years, we’ve served in Jamaica, Cuba, and Jamaica. Stateside, we’ve served in rural Appalachia, Missouri, Utah, and urban areas like New York City & Chicago.
Middle schoolers will have the same kind of experience (just on a smaller scale) with an annual weekend of service and fun. Location will vary each year.
Confirmation is a time for exploring one's faith. Youth between 8th and 12th grade are invited to begin the process of seeking membership in the Presbyterian Church (USA) through a series of retreats and the creation of a faith statement. The hope is for our students not only to learn about the theological tradition of the church but also to discover their place in God’s story. This program is offered every other year (pending number of participants).
Please speak with Rev. Heather Thum-Gerber for more information.
